How to take a screenshot on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
On an iPhone X or later
- Press and hold the Side button on the right side of your iPhone.
- Immediately click the Volume up button on the left side, then release the buttons.
- A thumbnail of your screenshot appears in the lower-left corner of your iPhone. Tap the thumbnail to add drawings and text with Markup, or press and hold the thumbnail to share the screenshot. Swipe left on the thumbnail to dismiss it.
On iPhone 8 or earlier, iPad, and iPod touch
- Press and hold the Top or Side button.
- Immediately click the Home button, then release the Top or Side buttons.
- A thumbnail of your screenshot appears in the lower-left corner of your device. Tap the thumbnail to add drawings and text with Markup, or press and hold the thumbnail to share the screenshot. Swipe left on the thumbnail to dismiss it.
To find the screenshot you just took, along with ones you've taken before, go to Photos > Albums and tap Screenshots.

for Samsung Galaxy S7
Hold down the Home button together with the power button for about 2 seconds, wait for the screen to make a little animation and make a little shutter noise if you have your sound on and you're ready to go.
for Samsung Galaxy S8
Press down the Volume down button with the power button, same time for 2 seconds, wait for a little animation and your screenshot is captured.
Google Pixel 2 XL
You can use the power button and volume down button and You can also use google assistance, you can say " google take a screenshot" and it will take a screenshot of what's underneath the google assistance screen.
After you take a screenshot and you want to share it or edit it, you can find a notification that pop-ups the notification panel. If you want to find the photo on the next day or other days, Open Google Photos > Device Folders>Screenshot Albums.
